Description
At Cafe Appalachia, you're getting more than a meal - you're part of a food initiative to provide wholesome, nutritious meals while also nourishing the soul of our community.
Café Appalachia is a program of Pollen8, Inc., a nonprofit created to provides wholesome, farm-to-table meals. The program provides portion control by offering a small and large portion to guests. In addition to lunch, the Café offers breakfast bites and handcrafted coffee by a Reintegrat8 participant trained as a barista.
All our food is grown onsite in our gardens or locally sourced. We continue to expand our community engagement through partnerships with local establishments that include Charleston Bread Company, DiTrapano Extra Virgin Olive Oil, and Paradise Farms West, which is part of KISRA.
By nourishing the body and the mind through quality food and service to others, the Cafe is providing a holistic approach to helping West Virginians.
